Howdy Everyone!

This coming Saturday, January 30, we have the pleasure of headlining at Thee Parkside here in San Francisco as part of SF IndieFest. IndieFest has been a successful local indie-film showcase for a few years now and we are excited that they’ve asked us to play on their first go at a coinciding music festival. We will be sharing the stage with locals The Soft White Sixties, Bird by Bird (Jonathan Devoto of the Matches) and evacuee.

We’ll be on later in the evening, around 11pm and tickets are going fast! So, purchase advance tickets to the show now before they run out, please click here.

We also want to take the time to thank everyone who came out and packed our gigs at The Mint in LA and The Beauty Bar in San Diego this past weekend! You all clearly know how to have a good time! Big thanks to our friends Wendy Darling for playing with us and adding to the great time.

More show updates, including an East Bay show with Luke Franks or The Federalists in early Feb. and a run up to Sac Town are coming shortly. News on the upcoming album is also not to far away, so get excited for that! Also, if you’re on Twitter, make sure to follow us at www.twitter.com/thestonefoxes, and if you’re on Facebook you can becoming a fan at www.facebook.com/thestonefoxes.

Howdy Everyone! This Friday, January 15 at 8PM, The Great American Music Hall will host the 9th Annual Sleepless Nights: Gram Parsons Tribute Concert. We’re playing main support along with seven other spectacular bands putting on a cosmic american celebration of the life and legacy of Gram. Come on out and join us! We’re also headed over to the Stanford campus on Thursday night, January 14, playing on campus at CoHo. Show starts at 8PM, its free, its a good long set, what more could you ask for? I dunno, sounds good to us!

In related musical exploits, recording of the new album has resumed! Not that we really stopped, rather we finished re-recording a few tracks and have a tasty new treat of a video for you to watch. So, grab a ham sandwich and cozy up to your computer monitor and watch a little sneak-peak of our studio shenanigans, catch it below:

“2009, I’m gonna kick you in the moth@#$&*ing face!” was the choice phrase Aaron belted into the mic (quickly followed by “Sorry Mom…”) as we brought in the new year with The Devil Makes Three and a sold-out house at Santa Cruz’s Catalyst. Hope you all had as great of a time as we did, here’s to a fresh new decade! Special thanks to DM3 for having us!!

Happy Holiday’s Everyone! Whatever your preferred choice of consumer based religious activities are this holiday season, we earnestly hope that you’ve had a gay ol’ time, as the holiday songbooks suggest. We certainly have had a great year and we owe most of it to all of you that supported us throughout this past year. Thank you!

As the new year approaches, we are not slowing down. In fact, we are kicking off the new year by opening for The Devil Makes Three at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, CA. Head over to The Catalyst’s website and make sure to get your tickets before they sell-out: Buy your NYE Tickets Here

We’ve also got a whole slew of shows coming up in the first couple months of 2010. We are extremely excited that local Bay Area bad-ass Eric Shea, has invited us to play and contribute to the 9th Annual Sleepless Nights Tribute to Gram Parsons at The Great American Music Hall on January 15! We’ll be playing a few Gram covers and a few originals inspired by the spirit of Gram and his pioneering country-rock sound. We’ve also got a string of shows with SF locals Wendy Darling and we’re hitting some college campuses throughout California that should prove to be a good deal of fun! Check out our upcoming shows and keep up to date with us by visiting us on Myspace: Go to our Myspace Page, here.

Some new treats for you are coming too. Brand new shirts are here and will be available online shortly and will be available at all of our upcoming shows. We’re also finishing up our new album and are excited about everyone interested in participating in this new album with us. We’ll be updating you on the albums progress and giving you sneak peeks and behind the scenes info as we get closer and closer to finishing it up.

Another big Thank You goes out to everyone involved and everyone who supported us this past year! You’ll be seeing and hearing more from us and hope to see and hear more from you during the New Year!

We had a brisk trip up into the mountains this weekend. On friday we set out early to avoid traffic and made it up to Truckee around noon to stop by and see our friends Sue and Shaggy at 101.5 KTKE. We played a few acoustic tunes on-air and grabbed a BBQ beef brisket sandwich before heading off into the snow covered mountains towards our next stop at 104.5 KDOT in Reno to do a quick on-air promotion for the show that night and play a few songs for Jave and his crew there. That night we played to a great crowd at the Biggest Little City Club in Reno, a cool little bar with lots of character and great people.

The next day Spence went up to Mt. Rose to snowboard with Jave from KDOT, his son Caleb and our manager Rob. Aaron, Shannon and Avi headed over to Crystal Bay in Tahoe and made a killing playing the craps tables in the casino. Later that night we played a long set to a really fun crowd that were really into dancing and shaking, we love that, that was a great time. Our hats are off to Steve who repeatedly flew across the dancefloor in a full-tilt rockstar knee-slide. Right on Tahoe and Reno! You guys rule!

Tomorrow, Friday Dec. 18, we’re headed back out onto the road. We are headed back out to Reno, NV, where this time we promise the show will go on! We’ll be playing a long set at the Biggest Little City Club in the heart of Reno. On Saturday we’re heading over the hill to Crystal Bay, NV, where we’ll be playing on the edge of Tahoe’s North Shore playing an after party show for Steve Kimock-Crazy Engine at the Crystal Bay Club Casino’s Red Room. Check out the details below:

Friday Dec. 18 – Biggest Little City Club
9 PM – Reno, Nevada
More Info : Click Here

Saturday Dec. 19 – Crystal Bay Club Casino (Red Room)
Steve Kimock-Crazy Engine After Party
11 PM – Crystal Bay, Nevada

We’ll also be making some stops at some local radio stations along the way, KTKE in Truckee with DJ Shaggy from noon to 2PM and at KDOT in Reno from 3PM to 4PM, to chat and play a few acoustic versions of a few of our own tunes. Check our Twitter page (http://twitter.com/thestonefoxes) for updates when we’re in the stations.

Also, in related news, a big thanks to Dwight Arnold at KTMQ/Riverside-Temecula for making our self-titled “The Stone Foxes” CD his #2 favorite of the year (behind only Band of Skulls)!!! Speaking of of the album, its not to late to get it before the holidays, visit our Online Store or check us out on iTunes.

Another big thanks goes out to our friends at Hunnypot and at ChopperHead Mag for throwing on kick-ass party at the Highlands the other week! It was a really great time and thanks to everyone who was there and packed the chilly rooftop show! Also, make sure to check out ChopperHead Mag’s newest edition to catch an article and photospread of us, giving a little background into our personal influences and agenda’s.

We also never got a chance to thank everyone for coming out to our LA shows this past November. The Viper Room was packed, sweaty and amazing! Saint Rocke was a nice get away from the big city. The Mint turned out to be a Funk filled surprise. And closing out the roadtrip at the House of Blues in San Diego, opening and closing for The Black Crowes, was a huge treat and a without a doubt a tremendously great night! Thanks to everyone who came out and rocked along side with us!!!

More news to come and new shirts are on their way! See you this weekend in Nevada!

Tonight we’re headed down to Los Angeles and crashing at our manager’s place, where we’ll wake up in the morning and get ready for Hunnypot and ChopperHead Magazine’s holiday party at The Highlands. We’ll be playing a full set, plus Danko Jone’s is headlining and a slew of DJ’s will be spinning including Marko of Sugarcult. Here are some details below:
